For the second year running, The University of Sheffield, National Fairground Archive will be participating in Fright Night along with Sheffield Events Company Limited and Sheffield City Council.

Fright Night is a huge event, attracting over 34,000 people into the City Centre each year. Always staged on the Sunday before Halloween, the ‘mass promenade’ event includes street theatre, ghost tours, funfair rides, live music, firewalking and much more, across Fargate, Peace Gardens, Surrey Street, Tudor Square, Norfolk Row, Barkers Pool, Leopold Street, Millennium Square and Pinstone Street.

Once again the University of Sheffield Zombie's will be returning to the Marks & Spencer's shop window, scarey street theatre will also feature as a part of our entertainment.

The University is increasing it's participation this year with a new attraction of the original side show presented by Jon Marshall of Sideshow Illusions. Once a popular attraction at Sheffield Fair, this is the first time in 50 year's that, you will have the opportunity to see the Headless Lady, The Girl in a Goldfish Bowl and The Half Lady; fairground side shows from 3:00pm onwards by the City Hall.
