Variety Parade - Glamour will take centre stage as Variety Parade presents a stunning spectacle, combining the nostalgia of old variety performance with exciting and sparkling acts from the world of new variety.
Neo-variety (as it has been tagged by certain fashionistas) is variety at its most exciting in years and Variety Parade is a chance to celebrate the truly egalitarian spirit in which theatres such as Blackpool’s Grand Theatre, the UK’s National Theatre of Variety, were built. Variety Parade will mix bawdy new acts with astounding high-end guests from the Tower Circus as well as from Equity’s Variety section.
Matcham Tour -
There are 100 places on four timed tours of Matcham architectural gems in Blackpool. On Saturday 1st December the first 100 people to sign up when they buy their ticket to the Variety show will be taken on a tour that will lead them from the Grand Theatre down to the Tower Circus and Ballroom and then end at The Winter Gardens and will look at the beauty and wealth of Matcham architecture that remains in the town.
The show takes place on Friday 30 November 2007, compered by BBC Radio 4 'Just a Minute' host
